Ingredients
  

For the Tostadas
  • 4 pieces Tostada shells Pre-packaged or homemade
  • 1 can Canned black beans Drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Use preferred type, like queso fresco or pepper jack
  • 1 cup Salsa Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Charred corn Can use frozen or fresh corn
  • 1 piece Avocado For avocado crema
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the tostada shell instructions and bake until crispy.
  2. In a pan, heat the canned black beans and season them with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Prepare the avocado crema by blending the avocado, lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Top each tostada shell with black beans, shredded cheese, salsa, and charred corn.
  2. Add a dollop of avocado crema on top of each tostada.
Serving
  1. Serve with additional toppings for customization, like jalapeƱos or sour cream.

Notes

Store components separately. Keep tostada shells at room temperature and bean mixture in the fridge for leftovers. For the best texture, reheat the beans and toast the shells briefly in the oven before serving.
