Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until fully combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared cake pan.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add to the crumb mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter over the crust in the pan.
Baking
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Topping
- Once cooled, spread mini marshmallows on top and use a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows until golden brown.
- For the whipped cream, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then spread or dollop on top of the cake.
Serving
- Serve and enjoy your decadent S'mores Cake! Cut into slices and offer it with a side of extra whipped cream or chocolate sauce.
Notes
Make sure to use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Keep a close eye on toasting marshmallows to avoid burning. You can sprinkle some sea salt on top of the whipped cream for added flavor. A fun twist includes substituting some chocolate chips with white chocolate.
