Meatloaf Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Choose fresh ground beef for better flavor and texture.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk Add more for a moister meatloaf if desired.
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup For glaze

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
Glazing and Baking
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ketchup for the glaze, then spread it over the meatloaf.
  2. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  3. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with classic sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, or a simple salad. You can also add extra ketchup or a drizzle of gravy on top for added flavor. If you have leftovers, let the meatloaf cool completely, then wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze portions for up to 3 months.
