Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole Fresh ripe pineapple Canned pineapple can be used in a pinch, but fresh is preferable.
  • 3 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup works well for a vegan option.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Feel free to substitute with nutmeg for a different twist.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice You can use lemon juice if lime isn’t available.
Optional Toppings
  • to taste Shredded coconut, mint, or ice cream Adds texture and enhances overall flavor profile.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the top and bottom off the pineapple. Stand the pineapple upright and slice off the thick skin, ensuring you remove the “eyes.” Then, cut it into 1-inch thick rings.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, cinnamon, and lime juice until well combined.
Grilling
  1. Heat your grill to medium-high. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the pineapple rings directly on the grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until you see nice grill marks and the fruit has softened slightly.
  3. Brush the honey mixture over the pineapple while grilling. Flip and repeat on the other side for that sticky, lovely glaze.
  4. Remove from the grill and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

Choose ripe pineapples for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving.
