Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 1 cup oat flour (or whole wheat flour) Use oat flour for a gluten-free option
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter (no xylitol!) Ensure it's xylitol-free for dog safety
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk (or water)
For the Frosting
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter Use the same kind as in the cake

Method
 

Make the Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the oat flour and baking powder together.
  3. In another bowl, combine applesauce, peanut butter, egg, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, let it cool completely.
Make the Frosting
  1. In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and peanut butter until smooth.
  2. Spread the frosting on top of the cooled cake.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. You can also freeze pieces for several weeks. Ensure to use natural peanut butter without added sugars or xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.
