  • 2 cans canned green beans Drained
  • 4 strips bacon Cook until crispy
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Sauté until translucent
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon favorite seasoning e.g. Italian seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a crock pot, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble. Leave some bacon drippings in the pot.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the crock pot and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the canned green beans (drained) to the crock pot.
  4. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and your favorite seasoning.
  5. Stir in the crumbled bacon.
  6. Cover and cook on low for about 2 hours to heat through. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a dash of hot sauce or a splash of vinegar. If you like crispy bacon, cook it separately and add it right before serving. You can experiment with different seasonings to suit your taste. To store leftovers, let the green beans cool to room temperature, then transfer them to an airtight container. They can be kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
