  • 1 pound fresh green beans Use fresh for best taste and texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust to your preference.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the green beans and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the green beans evenly.
Cooking
  1. Spread the green beans on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the green beans are tender and starting to brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a variation, add a squeeze of lemon juice or some chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts. Make sure not to overcrowd the baking sheet to help the beans get crispy.
